Losing my cell phone ~~
Have you ever googled “losing my cell phone ”? It is kind of funny, well maybe not if you are the one who is currently searching for their mobile device. Gone are the days where we always knew where the phone was. They were attached to the wall and in the kitchen. As time passed, some people had phones in more than one location of the home. I like to walk around when I am talking on the phone, so we had a long cord. Private conversations were almost non-existent.
It is 2016 and we all have cell phones. Our devices usually never leave our possession; except when we are at home. We put it down and then cannot remember where we left it. The other day as I was talking to a friend, I mentioned that I had this same challenge. She said to me “Lisa, I would think that as a professional home organizer, you would not have that problem. Don’t you have a system or a home for everything?” I laughed and gave her my scenario as to why I sometimes cannot find my phone or keys.
When I have finished a phone call or text, I am sometimes in another world. My thoughts are still with the conversation as I lay my mobile device down. I proceed to the project that was at hand totally forgetting where I left my cell phone. This dilemma has nothing to do with being organized. It has to do with being busy or distracted.
Here are 4 tips to help me:
- Try not walking around when on the phone (that probably won’t happen)
- Tell my husband or neighbor to call my phone
- Have a bright case that does not match my surroundings
- Try to make a mental note to return my phone to a central location
If you have related to this blog, please tell me that I am not the only one.
