How to put your life in order
Ok, I had quite a week and not sure if this has happened to anyone else. The ending of last year I reviewed all the check list of goals that I had wanted to accomplish. I felt so optimistic that I finally had things in order in my life and business, but some things happened. We are all multifaceted human beings. We are a spirit living in a body with a soul. That means we must take care of all three.
The physical body being very needy. We must give it food and shelter. We must take care of it if it becomes sick or injured. All of this cost money. I was feeling very good about my business and marriage and then sickness occurred. That was me. With a large insurance deductible and wedding #2 for my sons around the corner, that produced stress. Stress to my soul.
The soul is our emotions. With the stress of owning a business, dealing with sickness, planning weddings, and having to cooperate with so many people and their personalities; there can be a break.
The spirit is often the most neglected, but most important. The spirit is what connects us with God. We must feed our spirits with His positive words. A broken body and soul can easily be repaired if our spirits are strong. We can not go 7 days a week without a time of rest.
As a home organizer I understand the importance putting things in order in closets and cabinets so that we are able to find what we need and have a place to put it away. It gets messy when we empty everything out, but we can’t leave the clutter there. We must decide what to keep and put the rest away, sometimes we use containers with lids.
The same is true with our emotions. I needed to find peace. I had to allow myself a moment to grieve, but I couldn’t stay in the mess. I had to get my emotions in order. I had to release the hurts and frustrations. Things don’t always go our way.
I will take care of myself spiritually today. Then I will put together a check list of things to do and goals to accomplish to take care of my home, business, and health.
I enjoy writing these blogs. People think since I am organizer my life is all together. We are all a work in process. I just happen to have a certain skill set and so do you.
