Slow down to speed up~~
I had an email that caught my attention. The title was slow down to speed up. Even though the subject pertained to business growth, I realized it could pertain to life. Over the years I have had my own struggles of going 90 miles an hour only to crash and burn; more like I crawl under the blankets unable to cope. Please tell me that I am not the only one who has felt the same way.
An aha moment to me was the fact that we are designed to rest. God had the idea a long time ago, except in our ever-going culture we rarely slow down. Usually a physical, family, or emotional crisis will force us to slow down. I am so guilty. It can be so exciting with new clients, events, and seeing that the sky is the limit.
Home Organizer is my platform and pays the bills, but the writing, encouraging, and coaching is my passion. I do hope for that to pay the bills in my near future. In my hands on organizing, I see that there is a bigger picture going on than just an empty space in my client’s lives. It is a thrill to see faces light up with possibilities in their own life.
The downsize is that I can go so fast and do so much that I forget about me. On those days where I find myself with an unexpected day off, I reflect on what I have accomplished, read a book, sit outside to enjoy the weather, take a nap, and then record what I need and want to accomplish. Oh, and I forgot, drink coffee.
It is very refreshing to slow down because it helps me to speed up with clarity and purpose.
